One of the many perks to living at Stanford is all the many fun activities that are provided for the graduate students and their families by the school. One of the highlights of the year is the family ice skating day at the Winter Lodge. We've heard lots about this event, but missed it somehow last year. So when the sign-ups came around this year, we were not going miss it!
Serelle had a couple of brave moments on the ice and ventured away from the hand holding. I love how incredible excited and proud of herself she is!
"Practicing" their moves on the sticky, padded floor before moving onto the ice.
The best part of ice skating is always the warming up. This outdoor fireplace was especially comfortable and we had to try really hard not to spend more time relaxing by the warm fire than out playing on the ice!
I just love this little family of mine - these girls are brave and adventurous and always up for a fun new activity. Their dad is incredibly helpful, enthusiastic about spending time with his family, and full of fun ideas to make even the most simple activities become something truly special. What a fun morning!
