We were so proud of our sweet Lili when she wanted to complete a project for the Escondido School Science Fair! I never participated in a science fair, but Kylan had so he was key in helping Lili choose and execute on her project.
Lili loves making paper airplanes. Every single Sunday she asks us to make planes out of the sacrament program, then she'll go find our neighbors programs and make planes out of those. She loves both the folding and making of the planes as well as the flying, so it was only natural that she and Kylan figured out a way to incorporate that interest into her science project.
So, Kylan and Lili got online and found patterns for six different types of paper airplanes. They made all the planes then we took them to the GSB for some flight testing. Kylan and Lili stood up on the balcony level of CEMEX and flew the planes. Then Serelle and I timed them for both duration of flight and distance. The girls thought it was really fun to throw paper airplanes at Dad's school =)
Lili recorded all the information we told her about the different planes and how they were flying. She did a very good job and we learned some interesting lessons about the different types of airplanes and how they flew.

that's pretty awesome. and who else at the science fair could say they had expert advise weigh in on their projects?!! cool.
