Thanks in large part to these fun swim lessons the girls took with their good friends Skylar and Saige Hudson, the girls made huge strides this summer with their swimming skills. The lessons combined with lots and lots of afternoons spent swimming over at the Mattingly's and by the end of the summer we had a couple of little fish!
It was especially fun to watch Serelle's progress this summer. In the past she has basically refused to get her face wet and was not afraid to let her teachers know! This summer she discovered how valuable goggles can be and slowly experimented with them until she realized that she could go all the way under without getting water in her eyes. It was a serious breakthrough!
Lili had a good base to start with from her past lessons, but her confidence soared this summer. By the end of the lessons she was swimming the whole length of the pool and jumping off the diving board - the last obstacle left to her is the slide. But I think it's good to leave ourselves something to work towards for next year!
