GSB Graduation

June 15-16, 2013

We feel so blessed and grateful to our families for joining us for Kylan's graduation. We had all of Kylan's sister plus his mom and Grandma Diney and we had my parents and two youngest brothers, Michael and Stephen. This was a really special weekend for us and it was really perfected by having our families join us!

We tried to squeeze some pre-graduation fun in along with packing up our entire apartment to move and all the graduation festivities. It was kind of a crazy weekend, but we loved every minute of it! 

We spent an afternoon up in San Francisco and introduced our families to some of our favorite SF activities - which mostly include food and parks! We played at Dolores Park then got Bi-Rite ice cream and sandwiches plus a few pastries from Tartine. It was kind of a quick afternoon excursion, but it was so much fun! It was one of the warmest, most beautiful days we've ever had up in the city. It made saying goodbye to SF especially hard, but also gave us some pretty incredible memories!

We ended the day at one of our other favorite pastimes, an old movie at the Stanford Theater. This theater is just so charming with the velvet seats, pre-show organ performance and popcorn $1.50!

Here we all are - such a fun way to celebrate Kylan's graduation with some of the most important people in our lives. We are so grateful that they all made the effort to come out and celebrate with us.

Stanford University Commencement. 

Truthfully, this event was mostly just really long and hot. The speaker had a pretty obvious political agenda which was kind of annoying so we stayed until we felt like we had had enough then we took the family on a walking tour of Stanford campus. It is such a beautiful campus and a place that we have really come to love so we enjoyed showing it off to our families by highlighting some of our favorite buildings and fountains.

I am so incredibly proud of Kylan for the way that he spent his time at the GSB. I feel like he truly made the most of every day and every opportunity and there will be no regrets from our time at Stanford. I am also incredibly grateful for the example and legacy Kylan has created for our children. They will forever have him to look to as an example of reaching far beyond the stars.
