BizKids

One of the highlights of this school year was the chance that I had to be involved with BizKids - the club for all the GSB students with families. We were able to host some really fun activities and made some really great friends along the way. May was a busy month for us with an outing to a Stanford baseball game and a trip to a local pizza shop where the kids could make their own pizzas.

 Luis, Claudia, Luis Diego and Victoria from Venezuela, Khaled, Nihail and Mustafa from Egypt. Luis and Claudia were one of the first families we met at the GSB with kids and they became really great friends over the two years. The girls were especially excited to be invited to Luis Diego's pirate birthday party! Khaled and Nihail have an amazing story of escape during the Arab Spring take-over of Cairo. It's such a gift to be surrounded by these amazing people and their families.

 The Kline's and the Ericksons. We don't get to see a ton of the Kline's because Katrina is a pediatrician and works a lot, but whenever they're able to come they add lots of excitement to the party! And we just really love the Ericksons. Cute Summer just follows the big girls around and thinks she's one of them!

University Avenue is an iconic piece of the Palo Alto/Stanford experience and one of our favorite stops along the way is Pizza My Heart. It's a fun little pizza shop inspired by the northern California surf culture so it's got a fun vibe. We heard about this great deal at the pizza shop where kids can come build their own pizzas and it was a huge hit!

 Casey and Ray Thaler joined us with their brand new baby which was such a treat! Casey was one of the leaders of the group so we were especially glad that she could join us for one of our last activities.

Even though they aren't officially part of the business school group, both Satchel and Kyla were frequent additions to our BizKids activities! There weren't many kids as old as our girls and we always wanted them to enjoy coming to the activities so we were happy to invite a few extra kids!
