As part of the reunions for the GSB, the alumni association throws this giant party every year. They host a carnival of massive proportions for the families and kids and it is one of the highlights of the year. After last year, the girls knew what they were in for and insisted that we arrive at the very beginning and stay through to the end. Here are a few highlights of our day:
The giant bubble blowers were a new addition this year and were a hug hit! The girls could not get enough of this and couldn't believe that they were really creating bubbles twice the size of themselves!
Serelle, of course, loves the petting zoo and could not get enough of the animals. She pet this giant turtle, held an albino python and spent at least 10 full minutes in the goat pen until we coaxed her out to move on to the next activity with us!
Lili loves to get face paint. But she refuses to get it on her face. So, the beautiful compromise she has come up with is forearm painting! Face painting comes in all levels of quality, and this was one of the best ever. She looked at that rainbow Hello Kitty with love and fondness all day long!
Since the event is a reunion, it was a treat to connect with our friends from last year - the Calder's. Their cute daughter Lulu loved hanging with Lili and Serelle - they made quite a threesome!
Once our cute friend Bailey joined us the party was really on! The girls explored the firetruck and then were ready to head down to the train. This event is pretty crazy with all the current students plus many years of reunions, so I gave the girls strict instructions to hold hands on the way down to the train and they were so good to follow instructions! It was a hot, hot day so we stopped for popsicles on the way and picked up another friend...
Luis Diego was one lucky boy to snag a ride with all these beautiful girls! I think the train ride was the one time these poor kids weren't sweating - so I let them stay on and take a second ride around the school!
