As the history nerd of the family, I dragged a group out to the Juan Rodriguez Cabrillo National Monument and Point Loma Lighthouse one afternoon. We were fascinated to learn about the discovery of San Diego Bay by the Portuguese/Spanish explorer, the navigation tools he used, and what California was like at the time. Thanks to Kylan and the girls for putting up with my love of historical locations!
San Diego is one of our most favorite places in the whole wide world.
We ride the boardwalk, chase the waves, play in the sand, and paddle board in the bay.
It's perfect.
