Lake Powell is a magical place.
For both Kylan and myself it's the one place in the world that we've spent almost as much time as we have at home! Since the time we were both young until now, we've been to Lake Powell at least two weeks out of the summer. Sometimes three or four!
One of the hardest things to say goodbye to as we prepare to begin Business School and all the adventure that will follow, will be Kylan's extremely flexible job that has allowed us to spend so much time enjoying our families.
With the demands of school and a new job and the 16+ hour drive from Palo Alto to Page, this may have been our last Lake Powell trip for a long time. We only had four days, but we tried to pack in as much fun as we possibly could!

Rellie and her walking sticks on our hike at the end of Weatherill Canyon. We stayed in Weatherill last year and it has become one of our favorite canyons for exploring. It just keeps going and going and with the fluctuating water levels it feels different every time you visit!

The zip line is always a fun activity, but this year's model had a couple of kinks. Luckily Kade was over the water when the rock with the anchor split and sent the zip line down!
Next time the boys have a couple of improvements to make!
Tubing has become one of the kids favorite activities. This new tube is awesome because everyone who wants a turn can take a turn - there's always room for one more!
Ok, I know this picture is a little fuzzy but I just had to include it. This picture sums up so well my sweet husband and his dad. One of the benefits of finding a great deal on an old boat is that there is always a project to work on. :) These two spent a lot of time down in the hatch working on water pumps, air conditioning, etc. Thanks for keeping us cool!

I haven't missed Lake Powell until you started talking about this trip. I love everything about the place and I am so glad you guys had a great time. Hopefully we will be able to go together soon (when one of us is rich enough to have a houseboat :)
