For YM/YW this week our ward attended the local high school's production of "The Sound of Music." The production was extremely well done with excellent performances by the lead who played Maria, as well as all of the children. The music was accompanied by the high school orchestra which was very impressive to me. All in all it was a fantastic production and a really fun date. If you're in need of a date this weekend, check out your local high school's drama productions, you might be pleasantly surprised!

The other fun date we had happened completely spur of the moment. Kylan had to drive down to the Provo courthouse to drop off some papers for work, so Lili and I decided to tag along. While we were in Provo we decided to "take a walk down memory lane", so as we drove past Heritage Halls I pointed out Shipp hall (Mel, Chels, Erin and Aisha will remember our apartment by a couple of different names :) We drove past the law library where we spent many a late night studying, the law library parking lot which has just the right slope for a beginner long-boarder, we passed J-Dawgs where Kylan and I split about a hundred hot dogs over his CM career. We were surprised to find a couple of empty spots on campus where they've knocked down an old building, and as we drove past the HFAC we decided to find a parking spot and just get out and wander around campus. Lame? Maybe...but it turned out to be a really fun date.
After wandering through the HFAC we headed over to the MOA to enjoy some art.
There's a new exhibit there called "Turning Point" which focuses on the artists who followed the Post-Modern era and started some new branches of art. Conceptualism, minimilism, etc. Neither of us know much about this style of art, but we loved the exhibit. There were some very unique pieces and many that we really loved. I couldn't find any of the pieces that we really loved, but again...if anyone in the area is in need of a good date, check out the MOA.
Thank for the date KY!

sometimes those random dates are the best!
Those dates sound like so much fun! We really should check out the local high school productions I'm sure they are pretty good. Tonight we went to Kevin's baseball banquet and got a nice dinner. Free dinner is always nice.
We really should be taking advantage of being so close to a university like you three (four) are.
We miss you.
So you two may leave the very best comments in the history of all blog comments.
Well done.
It's always fun to get one from you two. Hope the baby is growing and developing well in that belly! I actually really miss being pregnant. Except month 9. Not so comfy.
You are so cultured! I am impressed.
What fun dates! And they'll be ones you'll never forget. I can't wait to come home for the holiday. We definitely need to get together! Miss you!
