Great Read

Lately Kylan and I have enjoyed reading books together. We read before we go to bed, on long drives, and any other time we can find to squeeze it in. The last book we read was called "Lone Survivor". It's the story of four Navy SEAL's that are serving in Afghanistan. Their operation goes south and as you can tell by the title of the book, there is only one survivor, Marcus Luttrell. This is an incredible book for it's patriotism and really helps a regular civilian understand the devotion of our armed special forces. Luttrell paints a vivid picture of the intense SEAL training as well as his experiences overseas, both in Baghdad and Afghanistan. I highly recommend this book to any American that is looking for a reason to have faith in their country and it's causes. Luttrell and the rest of his teammates gave the ultimate sacrifice for their country and their devotion carries through this book and makes you feel deeply indebted to past and present servicemen and women and all that they have given to ensure our freedom.

Warning: it does contain very realistic "Navy" type language.
