Stanford Graduate School of Business really knows how to throw a party!
Each spring the GSB alumni association throws a giant carnival for the students and their families. It coincides with the yearly reunions, so we are looking forward to attending this fun event many times in the future!
As you can see there were lots of fun activities available at the carnival: from strong man hammers to toss the ring around the sombrero, they had it all! There was a climbing wall, a little train cruising around the Knight management Center, and the ponies.
The ponies were a mixed review. Serelle was in heaven and Lili was mostly terrified. Poor Lili is just terrified of most animals. She's ok at the zoo - I think it must be clear that those animals won't be able to get close to her! But, when it comes to cats, dogs, horses, etc., she is just terrified! We have no idea where this fear came from, but it is very real. So, the fact that she is even on the pony is huge. She was willing to go (we didn't force her, just offered it as an option and she accepted!) but she wasn't exactly thrilled about it. If you look really closely you'll see how "forced" her smile is.
What a trooper!
Serelle, on the other hand, loves all animals.
Chickens...
She even went for a pony balloon!
What a fun way to celebrate the end of our first year at Stanford. It truly has been an amazing experience and we are already looking forward to next year!
