Merry Christmas!

The 2011 Lundeen Rundown:

Serelle (2.5) is such a big girl! She is perfectly potty trained, sleeps on the bottom bunk, goes to pre-school one day a week, and is very quick to remind anyone and everyone that, “I am not a baby, I am a big girl!" Serelle is full of life and spunk and keeps us on our toes. Most of her talking these days happens with her hands on her hips and starts with "I no want to!" She loves to play with her big sister and would spend hours watching movies if we let her!

Liliahna (5) has grown up in many ways this year. She is attending a Pre-K program called Young Fives and absolutely loves it. Living in Stanford has helped Lili make friends from all around the world, from China to Brazil; one of her most frequent playmates is our cute little neighbor from Spain. Lili has quickly become accustomed to life in Silicon Valley. Now, instead of playing house, we'll often catch her pretending with friends to start her business! Lili has lost 4 teeth this year and is currently wishing for her front two for Christmas!

Jen loves California and is enjoying the opportunity to make lots of new friends; between Lili’s school, Serelle’s preschool, Kylan's school, church, and the neighborhood, she has lots of opportunities! However, she dearly misses her old friends and hopes they will all come to visit sometime in the next two years (hint, hint)! Jen will be traveling with Kylan to Israel this spring for his school global study trip and also looks forward to a social dance class with him this winter. Jen has also enjoyed the challenge of turning their stark-white college dorm-type apartment into a home!

Kylan survived (and loved) his first semester of business school at Stanford. Kylan has spent the last 3.5 months with 75 classmates studying everything from Finance to Globalization. He has been pushed and challenged in many ways and is in the process of rediscovering himself after what he calls "his Stanford identity crisis". After this first semester Kylan's classmates voted him, "most likely to be surrounded by gorgeous women" -- the girls and I tend to agree with this award! Kylan will be taking classes at the design school starting in January and is VERY excited to participate in the Entrepreneurial Design for Extreme Affordability program. This program is a cross-campus initiative focused on using design thinking to provide affordable solutions to the problems of the world's poor.

Life is good for the Lundeen family and among the greatest of our blessings are our family and friends. We wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy Holiday Season!
