Because this year was an "off" year for the Hawks family (meaning we all spent Christmas with the in-laws) we decided to do our own Christmas Eve a week early. It was complete with a Christmas Eve dinner, the traditional Christmas morning breakfast and the opening of presents! It was a huge success and a great way to feel like we got to celebrate Christmas with both families. My Grandma and Grandpa Hawks came up from Richfield to enjoy the celebrations with us and we were so happy to spend some time with them.
Here are a few pictures of the "fake" Christmas morning!

Lili playing with her favorite gift of the year...pots and pans. She loves to "cook" and these toys have been in constant use! Thanks Grandma Gigi!

Lili hanging out with Grandpa Howdy, Daddy and Uncle Dweebie. (watching Enchanted, of course.)

Leg warmers on the arms...we may have a trend-setter here! Lili loves to play with my nativity and in this shot she was having Mary and Joseph kiss. How can you get mad about that!?!?

My parents gave all three married couples these amazing sleeping bags for Christmas, next activity...worm wars!
MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

Very cute. Speaking of trend setters, does everyone call Grandpa Russ "Howdy" now? I think Carter was only 1 or 2 when he started that! I think it's adorable.
