This year San Diego was especially fun. Lili is just old enough to enjoy the waves in the ocean. She didn't seem to mind the cold water one bit and usually didn't mind the sand either. I say usually because for some reason, at the begging of each new day, she would forget what the sand felt like and refuse to put her feet down for the first five minutes or so. As we would try to put her down, she would tuck her little legs up above her bum and simply refuse to let them get sandy! As you can imagine, she had sand everyone by the time we were ready to take a break.
Some new elements to this trip were 1)Satchel 2) Lindsey's fiance Brian 3) Ken's stand up surfboard 4) family volleyball tournament and 5) shoulder ride on the love trike...don't ask.
Ky, Cade, and Grandpa Rhino took thier routine trip down to Cali Kites in Coronado and we all enjoyed a delicious meal at Peohe's. You just can't beat that macademia banana halibut while watching fireworks over the bay. Thanks Ken and Elise!
