New Year's Eve
It's one of those holidays that is always anti-climatic - except maybe if you happen to be in Times Square in NYC...but even then I'm not convinced.
No matter what kind of plans we make, the evening just isn't very exciting. So, this year we decided to embrace that universal truth and enjoy a very normal day. And without the expectations that we should celebrate with a big crazy party, or even that we should do something memorable, it turned out to be a pretty great day.
We went shopping in the city...
Out for ice cream...
And, in typical Lundeen fashion, we ended the night with a dance party.
Gangnam Style.
*the one "New Year's Eve" type thing we did was watch fireworks on YouTube - from the opening ceremonies of the London Olympics - and drink sparkling apple juice. and we may or may not have told the girls they stayed up until "midnight" then went to bed at 9pm.
