MLK weekend continued...
Kylan took charge today and planned some good, old-fashioned fun.
We went online and found two different styles of paper boats, pulled down the old scrap-booking box, and each made two paper boats. We learned that we have two very capable boat builders on our hands! Then we took our handiwork to Stanford's secret lake.
Here's the line-up...
It was a perfectly still day, which unfortunately meant that our boats sat exactly where we placed them.

So, we turned to the sticks to help send the little boats on their way. And then they just sat exactly where we pushed them with the sticks. It was kind of funny.
Lili was a little bit squeamish about the water, but found that she like teasing us with her slimy stick. She kept chasing us around with it and giggling her infections little giggle.
Serelle was enthralled and could have pushed her little boat back and forth for hours. She didn't mind the squishy mud in the slightest.
It was an incredibly simple activity, but we had an amazing time together.
Thanks Ky!
