Lili is a runner. She has officially run in more races than her mother. Way to go Lili!
Lili participated in a 200 yard dash and did such an amazing job! At first she was pretty nervous. When she woke up that morning she had a very nervous stomach and was convinced that we should just stay home. This feeling persisted as we rode our bikes to the race, as we picked up her race number and pinned it on, but finally subsided enough for her to enjoy a pancake before the race. Classic Lili.
Here she is just before the race with some of her friends from school.
Serelle, Liliahna, Audrey, Ryan, Julianna (Ryan's little sister) and Max (who was much more interested in his game than in the race!)
Look at her go! (Props to Kylan for the top-notch sports photography)
She did it! And she got a ribbon!
Although Lili was nervous about participating in the race, she did it. She didn't give up and she finished strong. I'm so glad that she had this opportunity. For days after her run she told everyone we saw that she had run a race. She was so proud. We are so proud.
With Ryan and our beloved Young 5's Teacher Lissa who taught us about
"picking ourselves back up".
A little action to end on.
