Lili was so excited to go ice skating for the very first time this Christmas. We went to the Gallivan Center, an outdoor skating rink in downtown Salt Lake. It was a beautiful night and we had such a great time skating together surrounded by all the beautiful Christmas lights.
Kylan loves teaching the girls new things and Lili is a very willing student. She was a little bit nervous about skating, but she did great and only crashed once - 100% mom's fault! By the end of the evening she was much more stable and wasn't nervous at all, she was even willing to go with someone other than mom and dad!
After a lap around with Mimi and Poppi. Lili just adores her grandparents and was thrilled to do a lap with both of them. It means so much to these kids when other family members take the opportunity to spend time with them. It was such a sweet moment to see her enjoying a fun activity with her grandparents.
Cousin Savannah was even big enough to skate. What brave girls.
Serelle had a tummy ache and she was cold. Two major strikes for a fun night ice skating. Not at all surprisingly, watching a movie on Mom's phone and drinking hot cocoa with Poppi made everything better. The power of chocolate is very real.
She has assured us that next year she wants to try, and you better believe that we will hold her to that!
I would say that the ice skating was a huge success.
It has the Lundeen vote for future family Christmas celebrations.
