Something that has always been on my and Kylan's Utah Valley Bucket List is to ride our bikes along the Provo River Parkway Trail all the way to Utah Lake. We've done the northern portion that goes up the canyon to Vivien Park many times, but we've never taken the path south towards the lake. As our time in Utah came to a close we chose a Saturday and did it! Due to the excessively wet winter and spring the Provo River was roaring and we had to get off our bikes to wade through flooded paths more than once!
The trail was absolutely gorgeous and the weather could not have been better. It was the perfect day and made us really sad to be leaving UT (although when we think back to Jan or Feb we don't feel quite so sad)! The girls were so good in the trailer and we stopped twice to let them play: frisbee at one park and endless swinging at the second park. Unfortunately the path was closed at I-15 so we weren't able to make it all the way to Utah Lake, but the day was so great that we weren't too disappointed!
Thanks to Ky and my two sweet girls for helping check something off our bucket list!
