Someday we'll own a beach house.
We just love the beach that much. There's just something magical about the sun, the sand, the waves, and of course, the people that you share the house with.
Lemonade stand on the boardwalk - these children are irresistible and ran a very successful beach side business! It didn't hurt that they were serving strawberry, mint lemonade on a hot California day
She is just so precious...
Lili could "chase the waves" for hours. And she did! We stayed in a new place this year and as you can see, the waves were pretty good sized for a 5 year old - as you can see, the increased size didn't hold her back one bit. She is one brave and adventurous girl!
We took a day trip down to San Diego to visit Rhino and tour the USS Midway, a retired aircraft carrier that has been turned into a museum. It was a long day, but sitting in the captain's seat of the jets and helicopters was a decent pay off.
Have we mentioned how much we love our Uncle Kade?
One of our favorite Lundeen family traditions is the "bike" rides down the boardwalk. I use the quotes because there are never enough bikes for passengers so we've always got a couple of skateboarders pushing strollers, scooters, and even Remi...on her rollerblades...
Serelle and I got creative this year and found a killer system for cruising up and down the boardwalk - we shared this sweet scooter with a wide base, she stood in front of me and held on tight!
There's just something about a ferris wheel...
And a first time for me!
I almost completed a double back-flip (if you've seen me on a trampoline without the bungees, you would understand how big of a deal this is!)
The highlight of the trip came on the last day. We were all able to go with Kade to the Newport Beach Temple as he prepared to go on his mission. It was a beautiful day and I couldn't imagine a better way to finish out the vacation.
